Executive Summary
Purpose of the Report USAID/Indonesia is required under Sections 118 and 119 of the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA) to carry out a background assessment of the status of forests and biological diversity in Indonesia to ensure that its new strategic plan most effectively improves the conservation of biological diversity and sustainable use of forest resources in Indonesia. This assessment must:
- Provide an analysis of actions necessary in Indonesia to achieve conservation and sustainable management of tropical forests.
- Evaluate the extent to which actions proposed meet identified needs. Submitted in accordance with Foreign Assistance Act Sections 118/119 February 20, 2004
