ESP is focusing on reducing the amount of solid waste produced by communities by as much as possible through promoting reuse, recycling, including composting, and the proper sorting and storage of such waste. It is ultimately hoped to reduce current waste levels by up to 50%, and to ensure that all waste is taken off the streets and dumped in the appropriate Interim Dumping Site (TPS) before being transported to the Final Dumping Site (TPA). It is hoped that this can be achieved through the development of community-based disposal systems.
